FSC Certified VeneersThe range of species of wood eligible for FSC certification has expanded greatly and you are almost certain to find select veneers that will appeal to your tastes. We work with several suppliers who inventory a wide selection of architectural grade panels. The spectrum is broad, running from high contrast veneers such as Claro Walnut to the simple elegance of quartered Ash or Cypress. We can, at a significant premium, arrange to have custom laid up panels made from “leaves” or “flitches” that you have personally selected from a large inventory of exotic veneers.
Reconstituted Veneer ProductsThese engineered veneers echo nature’s most desired and rare species. Their use reduces the impact on forests that support rare species. Reconstituted veneers provide a practical alternative to exotic woods. High quality, architectural grade veneer, plywood and edge banding are available. These veneers, on recycled wood cores with no added urea formaldehyde, can qualify for LEED credits.
FSC Certified Panel ProductsAll Earthwise cabinet bodies are built out of Columbia PureBond plywood, and the exterior components such as doors, drawer fronts and end panels are made from a variety of certified panel products. An MDF (medium density fibreboard) substrate is most often provided for cabinets that feature slab doors (simple veneered panels).
